We moved all of our things except for the TV and the couch into the basement or garage. The carpets are getting cleaned in the morning and Saturday my mom and I will paint the living room and master bedroom. After that we can finally settle in. I am so excited not to be crammed into that little apartment anymore.

We are one week away from the closing date. YAY!

Exhausted

We spent many hours today cleaning and painting...and putting a new dishwasher in. I managed to get our office painted a very nice green color and Don spent much of the day replacing the dishwasher. But it was accomplished. Tomorrow I will be painting the spare bedroom and possibly the living room and Don will move some of the heavy furniture. We plan to be swapped out Friday afternoon. phew

Our nephew Payton had his first hockey practice Tuesday night so I had to go an root him on. He's four and still learning how to skate, let alone hold a stick.

Just keep swimming

We successfully got our fish tank moved and so far nothing has suffered. It was fairly painless...just alot of heavy lifting.

We have also managed to get our homeowners insurance squared away with the agency and the bank...we are slowly on our way to the closing date (2 more weeks!!).

I am going to pick up our wedding photos from the photographer tomorrow. I am sure they look great and I am excited to see some decent pictures of the day.

Weekend Events

I spent much of the weekend boxing and moving into the basement our things that will not be of use for the next two weeks. I have left only big furniture, clothes and kitchen items in our apartment. I will spend a day next weekend cleaning the carpet and painting where our fish tank will go and then moving the fish tank. -We have a 55 gallon saltwater tank.-

Don's mom is going to have Clean Tech come in and clean all of the carpets after we have things moved into other rooms. Then, in two weeks Don and I will paint our new living room and master bedroom before moving our things into them.

I find this whole moving process very strange and very Brady. We are simply moving up 1-2 flights of stairs....so strange.

We have submitted an accepted offer and all loan info...if everything goes through we will own our new home November 3rd!

Just as I was aggravated yesterday about home loans...we went in today and have been approved to buy. SO next week we should be signing papers and home owners!!

I couldn't resist..this gave me tears...

Did I mention that I am pissed off to be applying for a mortgage at the worst time in American history....starting out at this day in age sucks!

...I forgot...

I forgot to mention in my last post that I was rear-ended in my new car yesterday as I was driving through the north Broadway construction zone. I was at a stop in traffic and an old man in a Ford truck hit me. He was VERY reluctant to give me his insurance info and wanted to pay out of pocket. I got his info and filed a claim....it's now at the body shop.

Apparently I felt like cooking today. I made a pork roast and veggies for dinner, carrot cake with cream cheese icing and pecans for dessert and mushroom pate to take to work. The dishes are done and the kitchen was clean before I got to work. This is my first shift back since the wedding and I could stand to have a few more days off.

....oh, and my new Kitchenaid stand mixer compliments of my Grandmother works wonders...
