I have learned that I struggle with living life and keeping people updated.

Don and I recently celebrated our second wedding anniversary. We have made it a tradition to eat a nice meal and have a couples massage to celebrate. We continue to work on improving our home one project at a time and have been saving our pennies for a new kitchen, 2 new bathrooms and new flooring through the whole house. Hopefully we will be able to get such projects underway in 2012 when his parent's move out.

We are planning on going to Las Vegas for a week the end of November with my parents. We will be able to spend Thanksgiving with Shannon which hasn't happened for several years now.

The burning question everyone has for us as of late is when are we having kids....well, I have made a firm statement that it will happen eventually I am sure...but we would like to enjoy some time alone in our home together prior.

I got the dreaded letter Friday...was not accepted for the job :( Time to move on the the next thing.

The irises in our yard bloomed yesterday. Even though they grow like weeds and are common to see, I still love them.

Update

Still no word on the job interview I had in May. I wish I could just get an answer..I don't think I did as well as a could/should have..but you never know.

I have had the cold of death, as I like to call it, for a couple days now. I went home from work after 2 hours this morning and slept most of the day. Thank goodness for cough syrup with codeine!

Fail!

I am awful at posting consistently.

But anyway...as usual I am still trying to move up in the world and have an interview with U.S. Probation on May 10th. Wish me luck!

Jobs and Other Ramblings.

As if I haven't had enough places of employment under my belt... I have an interview at the Division of Juvenile Services on Thursday. This job is one that I have had my eyes on since college and luckily someone has retired. I see it as a place I would stay until retirement. And to top it off the salary is double+ what I make now to start.

In better, yet confusing news... I had an ultrasound done on my gallbladder last week and my blood drawn; all was good. I have been having some digestive issues for about 2 years now and was convinced it would be that. Well, it's not and now I have no answer as to what it could be.

Holy shiz. It's been MONTHS since I posted on this thing. Lets get up to speed.

I am still working for the county. Don and I are still married...go us! No one has died...that I know of. We still own our home with only 29 years left on our mortgage. Shannon has been home for a little over a week for Christmas break and we got 24" of snow over Christmas...yahoo!
